# Results

> How your published articles do in Google, what each status means, how articles are compared at 30, 60 and 90 days, and what Seovyn does about each one without being asked.

The **Results** page shows how your articles do in Google, and what Seovyn does about it. Its numbers come from [Google Search Console](/docs/search-console): until that's connected, Results shows how to connect it.

## The headline numbers

| Number | What it is |
|---|---|
| **Clicks** | Visits from Google to your published articles in the last 28 days, compared with the 28 days before |
| **In Google** | How many live articles Google has shown in its results at least once, and how long that usually takes on your site. A new page usually appears within two weeks |
| **Position** | Where your articles usually appear in Google, weighted by how often each one is shown. 1 is the top; page one is 1 to 10 |
| **On page one** | Articles whose average position is 1 to 10, where almost all clicks go, and how many are close behind |

## What each status means

Every published article gets a status, and each status comes with something Seovyn does on its own:

| Status | Means | What Seovyn does |
|---|---|---|
| **Page one** | Average position 1 to 10 | Watches it for any slide |
| **Close to page one** | Positions 11 to 20 | Refreshes these first: it's the quickest way to more clicks |
| **Climbing** | Moving up on its own | Leaves it alone for now |
| **Falling** | Clicks dropped by more than 40% | Plans a refresh |
| **Not in Google yet** | Not shown in Google after two weeks | Checks with Google whether it's indexed, and shows the answer |
| **Update waiting** | A refreshed version is ready | Waits for you, or for autopilot's hold |
| **New** | Too new to judge | Nothing yet |
| **In Google** | Shown, but further down | Nothing yet |

Filter the list of articles by status, and open any article's live page from its row.

> [!TIP] An article that isn't in Google
> It's usually just not indexed yet. Open Search Console's **URL inspection** for the page and choose **Request indexing**. Check it's reachable first: an article marked **Not found** in the Library never went live. See [Troubleshooting](/docs/troubleshooting).

## At 30, 60 and 90 days

Each article is measured once at each age, 30, 60 and 90 days after it went live, so a new article is compared with how older ones did **at the same age**, not with how they do today. For each age you see how many articles were shown in Google, how many reached page one, and their typical clicks.

On an article's row, three dots show its own milestones: shown in Google, not shown, or not reached yet.

## Positions from little data

A position from a handful of searches isn't a ranking. When an article has fewer than 10 impressions in 28 days, its position is shown as approximate, such as "about 14, from only 6 impressions".

## Search snippets

When Seovyn rewrites an article's title and description, it measures the effect: about a month later, it compares the click-through rate with what's expected for the article's position. Results shows how many rewrites raised it and how many lowered it. If the last three measured rewrites didn't help, Seovyn stops rewriting snippets on your site, and Results says so. See [Updates and refreshes](/docs/article-updates).

## Writing more of what works

Once you have eight articles that have been live for 45 days, Seovyn weighs which kinds earn impressions on your site, by page type and by topic cluster, and plans a little more of what works and a little less of what doesn't.

## Cleanup

Results is also where **Cleanup** lives: live articles that draw the wrong readers, name a real person, or that nobody searches for. See [Cleanup](/docs/cleanup).
