# Get started with Seovyn

> From a new account to your first published article: what to do, in order, and what Seovyn does on its own along the way.

Seovyn is an SEO content agent. You give it your website; it finds what your customers search for, writes articles from real sources, and publishes them to your site once you approve them. Most people go from sign-up to a first draft in their review queue the same day.

:::steps
### Create your account

Sign up at [app.seovyn.com](https://app.seovyn.com/signup) with Google, GitHub, or an email and password. The Free plan needs no card.

If you signed up with email, a confirmation link arrives in your inbox. Nothing waits on it, but confirm it when you can: it keeps your account recoverable, and you need it to add a second organization.

### Tell Seovyn which site to write for

The welcome screen asks one question: which site are we writing for?

- **I have a website.** Enter its address and choose **Start with this site**.
- **I don't have a website yet.** Describe the business in a sentence and choose **Build my site**. Seovyn builds a simple site with a home page and a blog, hosts it, and publishes your articles there. You can point your own domain at it later. See [Seovyn-hosted site](/docs/hosted-site).

Within the hour Seovyn reads your public pages. It fills in your [brand voice](/docs/brand-voice), keeps the facts it finds on your pricing, product and about pages as [site knowledge](/docs/site-knowledge), and adds a first set of [keyword targets](/docs/keyword-targets).

### Pick the sources to watch

Open **Sources** and choose **Auto-discover** (a new workspace sees it on **Overview** too). Seovyn works out your niche and proposes real competitors, subreddits and YouTube channels. Tick the ones that fit and add them. Each source is checked straight away, and again about every hour.

> [!TIP]
> Keep the list tight. Five relevant sources write better articles than twenty loose ones. You can add or remove sources any time under **Sources**. See [Sources](/docs/sources).

### Check the voice and add what only you know

Open **Publishing** and read through **Brand voice**: the audience, the tone, the call to action every article closes with, the phrases it must never use. Then open **Site knowledge** and answer a few of the **Questions only you can answer**. A sentence of first-hand experience is what makes an article yours.

### Choose where articles go

Still on **Publishing**, pick where your website lives. Seovyn has usually spotted what your site runs on and suggests it at the top. The options are WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Framer, Wix, Notion, Ghost, a GitHub repo, or your own site through a signed webhook. Each takes a key or token and a minute. You also choose whether an approved article goes live at once or lands as a draft. See [Publishing](/docs/publishing).

### Review your first draft

Drafts arrive in the review queue on **Overview**, each with its quality score, the research behind it and a preview of how it looks on Google. Read it, then **Approve** (it's published to your site) or **Reject** with a reason (Seovyn learns from it). See [Review and approve](/docs/review-and-approve).

### Connect Search Console (optional)

Connecting Google Search Console lets Seovyn see each article's clicks and positions, refresh the ones that slip, and write more of what works on your site. Access is read-only. See [Search Console](/docs/search-console).

## The setup checklist

The **Get started** card at the foot of the sidebar tracks these steps and ticks each one off from your account's real state, so it's always accurate:

| Step | Ticked when |
|---|---|
| Take the one-minute tour | You've taken the product tour |
| Add a source to watch | At least one source is watched |
| Check your brand voice | Brand voice is at least half filled in. Seovyn fills it from your site, so this usually ticks itself |
| Connect where articles publish | A destination is connected |
| Review your first draft | You've approved or rejected a draft |
| Connect Search Console | Search Console is connected. Optional |

Hide the card once you're done. **Help and guides** in the top bar brings it back, with a tour of each page and the [keyboard shortcuts](/docs/dashboard#keyboard-shortcuts).

## What happens next

You approve every article at first: that's **supervised** mode. Each approval teaches Seovyn your standard. After five clean approvals in a row, autopilot unlocks on Pro and Scale (on Free it's earned and switches on when you upgrade): drafts that score 75 or more publish on their own after a 12-hour hold you can stop at any time. See [Autopilot](/docs/autopilot).

The Free plan writes 4 articles a month, Pro 30 and Scale 100. See [Plans and usage](/docs/plans-and-usage).
